FBC Pompano Wedding Guidelines
Only members of First Baptist Pompano can be married in our facilities unless one of our ministers on staff will be performing the marriage ceremony (each Minister has their own additional criteria, please contact the wedding coordinator, Janet at 954-745-6114, for the details).
Non-members may not have their reception in our facilities.
The minister who is officiating the ceremony shall counsel with both the bride and groom prior to the wedding. Exceptions will be considered if the bride or groom live out of state in which case the minister would be in contact via telephone.
The date of the wedding is determined in view of scheduled church activities. Weddings will not be scheduled during major church events or major holiday weekends.
Our Minister of Music must approve wedding ceremony music. Bands or DJs are not permitted at receptions held at the church.
The bridal party is responsible for decorating the sanctuary and fellowship hall and for the cleanup of ceremony and reception. The church does not furnish dishes for receptions, and used utensils, coffee pots or punch bowls must be cleaned. Please check with the Wedding Coordinator if you desire to use any of these items.
Our facility workers will set up tables and chairs the way you desire and they will also take them down afterwards.
Weddings should be held before 4 pm and everything must be cleaned no later than 8:30 pm.
Smoking and the use of alcohol are not permitted in or around the church facilities. Rice, confetti and birdseed are not permitted; but we do allow bubbles.
Video cameras are allowed, but it is requested that they be stationary and as invisible as possible.
