Something to look forward to

I read about a pastor who was working on his sermon one afternoon when his young daughter came in and asked, “Daddy, can we play?” He answered, “I’m awfully sorry, honey, but I’m right in the middle of preparing this sermon. However, in about an hour I can play.” She said, “Okay, when you’re finished, Daddy, I am going to give you a great big hug.” He said, “Well, I’ll look forward to that.” She went to the door and suddenly turned around, came back, and gave her daddy a big hug. Then the daddy said to his little daughter, “Baby, you said you were going to give me a hug after I finished.” She answered, “Daddy, I just wanted you to know what you have to look forward to!”

This Sunday I will begin a new series The Revelation of Jesuson the Book of Revelation. The main reason I am doing this series is because I want you to know what you have to look forward to!

The apostle John tells us that he wrote, “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place” (Revelation 1:1). This is the book of scripture which tells us God’s end game (how it will all end and what God will begin). Frankly, I cannot imagine a more exciting study than the one we are about to begin in Revelation. Every Christian ought to have the opportunity some time in their life to hear a series from the final book of scripture. So it gives me great joy to lead you on this journey of discovery through the Book of Revelation. I hope you will be present for every message in this series and will open your heart to the teaching of God’s word. I promise that you have something exciting to look forward to…

Devotedly yours,
Pastor Ron
