We’re Back!

“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go into the house of the LORD’” (Psalm 122:1).

This Sunday, June 7 – We’re Back!! We will reopen our Church for worship services at 9:30 am & 11:00 am (while live streaming both services on Facebook and our Website for all who are not yet ready or able to return). Please go to our Website or Facebook and watch the video Plan For Reopening to get the details of it. I look forward to it and I know you are excited about it! But I want to prepare us for it! Here are a few thoughts as we get ready for this great day of worship and celebration—

Come Expectantly—Let us gather with excitement knowing that our Lord reigns and He is with us! The Psalmist said, “Zeal for your house consumes me” (Psalm 69:9). Pray for a sense of God’s awesome presence and for the powerful anointing of His servants.

Greet Warmly—We have not been together for 3 months and so we want to make up for lost time by extending the warmest greeting to all and help all feel warmly welcomed by our friendly hospitality. Though we will refrain from shaking hands and hugging so that everyone feels safe, but still we want to be encouragers to all by our gracious words and loving presence.

Worship Fervently—We may be a little out of practice when it comes to gathering for worship, but remember: Authentic worship comes from the heart. Throw your heart into it and the rest of you will follow!

Participate Enthusiastically—Worship is not a spectator sport. Be active energetically and joyfully. Stand when it’s time to stand. Pray when it’s time to pray. Sing when it’s time to sing. During scripture reading, follow along in your Bible. Listen carefully and prayerfully during Bible teaching/ preaching and bring some note paper and a pen to take notes. Think of application to your life as you listen to God’s word proclaimed. Can I get an Amen?!

Respond Obediently—Come prepared to respond to God’s word compliantly. The Spirit of God will always lead you to obedience to the word of God. Never miss an opportunity in worship to make a right decision for the Lord.

Leave Slowly—Don’t rush out the door at the end of the service. We are going to prompt people not to jam together at our exits (or entrances) anyway and to practice safe distance on Sunday, but still you can be an encourager to other believers and extend a warm greeting to all visitors (from a safe distance). Everybody ought to feel the love of our Church Family this Sunday!

This Sunday, June 7, will be a great and momentous day in the life of our church. Let’s make the most of it and enjoy every moment of it! If you are not able to come this Sunday, then join us on-line and worship with us. Remember we are still Family whether gathered or scattered. But if you are able to come then get dressed on Sunday morning and put on your favorite facemask! I’ll See you Sunday…

Devotedly yours, Pastor Ron
